BLEMS

Misscoloration or perhaps some chemical reaction in the finnish. I don't have a clue to what this is

Small cracks in the binding

Dent in the top which is also a bit scratched at the same place. Doesn't look too bad in the picture but is a bit worse than the dents below in my opinion.

Two other dents in the top. These might look worse than the dent above but these two are merely dents in the finnish while

Small crack in the fretboard

Sruface scratches where the leg rests.

More dents in the binding.
This instrument has been played quite a lot which most alto guitars hasn't. This is two-folded since the condition is not mint, not that it's bad but you can see that the instrument has been used. It's a good sounding alto guitar which probably is the main reason why it has been played so much. I know both former owners and both have played it extensively until a few years back when I aquired it. I have played on many alto guitars and I would rate this guitar as 4 out of 5. I only know of two other alto guitars which I'd give 5 out 5 and that is Göran Söllschers guitar and Per Olof Johansson old guitar which now is in the possesion of a very fine Swedish guitarist. Most alto guitars I've been in contact with I'd rate as 2 or 3 out of 5. Georg Bohlin built many guitars and perhaps didn't give all his love to each single instrument and the fact that this instrument type is normally not a players only guitar tends to make it a second guitar which in turn means it won't get played too much. The Bohlin guitars I've played which I rate as 4 or 5 have all been played alot. This guitar is younger than my contra guitar but the condition is not as good but it has been played alot more. The woods used for both of these instruments is very, very fine as can be seen in the pictures.´
